Events Director
Amber L. Mays has a deep passion for uniting various groups to celebrate the rich tapestry of diversity within our communities. She excels at creating memorable and meaningful experiences that leave a lasting impact on every guest.
Amber has dedicated her career to working with underserved populations, particularly within the Black community, where she focuses on issues of representation. With over 15 years of experience in the nonprofit sector, she began her career in healthcare. During this time, she collaborated with various Executive Leadership teams to implement the necessary technology, policies, and foundational structures that enabled organizations to secure multiple accreditations and government incentive grants.
In 2014, Amber channeled her passion for supporting the Black community into her work at the African American Museum in Philadelphia, providing safe spaces for cultural learning and connection. As the Director of Events in her current role, she partners with corporations, foundations, and individuals to address their event needs, crafting unique experiences for clients and their guests.
Amber is a mother of four beautiful children and is currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Tourism, Hospitality, and Event Management at Temple University.
